Arab League condemns Fuheis terrorist attack in Jordan

Arab League Spokesman Ambassador Mahmoud Afifi
condemned the terrorist attack that took place during a cultural festival in
Fuheis area in the Jordanian capital Amman, leaving one security personnel
killed and six others wounded.
The spokesman said Arab League Secretary General
Ahmed Abul Gheit stressed that this terrorist attack targets security and
stability of Jordan, extending his condolences to the family of the victim and
wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The spokesman asserted the Arab League's full
solidarity with the Jordanian government and people and voiced its backing of
all the measures taken by the Jordanian government in confronting such
terrorist operations.
He also said such criminal acts asserted the
importance of eradicating terrorism and joining efforts to counter such heinous
terrorist attempts which aim at destabilizing the Arab countries.
