Emirates Giving offers support to Sudan at a time of need

The United Arab Emirates is setting a great example when it comes to voluntary work and helping fellow states.
This is most manifest during the floods that are
hitting Sudan these days.
The flooding has caused massive devastation in
Sudan and killed over 100 people.
The UAE came to the rescue of the Sudanese people
by establishing a number of makeshift field hospitals in different areas of
Sudan.
Emirates Giving
The NGO, Emirates Giving, which is headquartered
in Abu Dhabi, was established in April 2019.
The NGO spreads information about the importance
of giving and voluntary work. It promotes tolerance among the different
segments of society, and especially youth, through a number of initiatives.
Emirates Giving created a number of partnerships
with state institutions and the private sector.
Field hospitals
Emirates Giving started operating a mobile field
hospital for the treatment of the injured victims of the floods.
The medical specialists brought in by the NGO
cooperate with volunteers from Sudan in offering medical and health services to
Sudanese citizens.
They are all acting under the slogan "In
Zayed's footsteps".
The medical teams of the NGO have so far succeeded
in offering health services to hundreds of people during the first maiden
operation of the field hospital.
The hospital also succeeded in drawing in a large
number of health specialists from Sudan to volunteer within its activities.
The hospital tries to offer medical solutions to
Sudanese citizens, containing a number of different sections and specialties.
