At 5:00 p.m., Cairo Time, every day, we appear before you with a line from what we have written and said over the years, for Egypt and in love with her.
Perhaps one of our children from the new generations will find in this line what they seek, or come to know us more closely if they wish, or recall it at some moment should they need it.
Our belief is that as long as the ink remains in the inkwell, it belongs to its owner; once it sets forth as letters and words, it becomes the property of the people.
Our enduring belief — still alive, and always will be — is that Egypt is the mother of all lands and the refuge of humankind, a blessed land chosen by God.
