Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa has mourned the
victims of a terrorist attack on two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand.
The attack left 49 people dead and 20 others
wounded.
In a statement released on Friday, the minister
denounced the hideous attack that targeted innocent people as "the ugliest
form of terrorism".
Also, Gomaa urged concerted international efforts to
counter terrorism and their supporters, saying the international community
should adopt a strict law labeling assault on places of worship as a crime

the statement added.
The minister offered his sincere condolences to the
victims' families, wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded.
