Oman urges Iran to release British tanker

Oman urged on Sunday Iran to release the British-flagged
tanker Stena Impero which it seized in the Strait of Hormuz on Friday.
Oman also called on all parties to exercise restraint and
resolve differences diplomatically, state broadcaster Oman TV News said on
Sunday.
Oman also urged Iran not to expose the region to risks
jeopardizing freedom of navigation, Oman TV said on Twitter.
Earlier, UK Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt said Britain's
response "will be considered but robust."
He added that the "totally and utterly
unacceptable" interception of the Stena Impero "raises very serious
questions about the security of British shipping and indeed international
shipping" in the Strait of Hormuz.
The Stena Impero was intercepted late Friday by Iran's
Revolutionary Guard forces.
